Peter Button has worked as an independent sales trainer, sales team coach and sales management mentor for almost 25 years.

During this time Peter has worked with some of the most effective sales teams, and some of the least effective. A great deal of experience has been established.

As with most professionals at this stage of career, the confidence of early and absolute convictions has mellowed. Hard won knowledge and skills enable Peter to pursue pragmatic flexibility that is focused exclusively on improving results in the real world.

Real World Strategy was established in 1997 to combine Peter’s experience of sales training with his increasing awareness of the need for effective sales team structure, strategy, systems and processes. At this time, the business world was just beginning to see the emergence of the profound changes driven by accelerating information and communication technology.

These changes have transformed the world of selling. Peter has played his part in helping conventional sales teams to learn fundamentally new roles. Peter has equipped them with the awareness of why things are different, and the knowledge, skills and confidence to achieve their goals in new and more effective ways.

The reform of legal services in the UK brings similar changes and challenges to law firms. Peter has designed "Effective Personal Marketing" to incorporate all that he has learned from being actively involved in the transformation of commercial selling.
